Spelling Bee

I have to give my big girl a little shout out... I am so proud of her! She got 2nd place in the spelling bee today and is going on to compete at another school. Not only is this a academic achievement, but she also had to overcome her own shyness and nerves- which is the real huddle. So proud of my girl!

UPDATE: She and her teammate won first place at the All School Bee!!! Congrats Missy Poo!!!

It All Started with a Sharp Object...

This is one of those days where I find something my child did and he will be in so so so much trouble when he gets home but somewhere inside me I have to chuckle a little bit.  Ethan carved all over Danissas piano bench- which I am very very upset about- but I have to half smile as I see in tiny carving: "to Danissa, love Ethan"

Really?! Your going to sign your death warrant? And I have to wonder... who is Amy?!

The Titanic and the Magic Hat

I was watching "The Adjustment Bureau" and then flipped to "Titanic" for about 3 minutes and then flipped back to the first one. Danissa went to the bathroom and then came back out and asks me about the movie. I'm telling her about the people in the magic hats and how they can reset your brain and reprogram people and that the couple just wants to be together so they are fighting the system. After a few moments she says "... this is Titanic?!" LOL... "Ummm no. Titanic is a true story. Sinking ship. Freezing water. No magic hats." LOL
