Skiing and Sleepovers

All these kiddos slept over and Uncle Nate and Aunt Jens house.  I'm sure that was quite
the endeavor!  The kids all had a blast!!!!

UN Bachlorette Party

Some friends of mine wanted to take me out... get my mind off of my current troubles and to
help me enjoy this season in my life, as much as possible.  Tanya and Amy, my friends from childhood, reconnected with me and we had a fantastic night out.  It was a much needed distraction.

Peace and Quiet

After an emotionally rough morning of signing divorce paperwork, ending a marriage
with a ball point pen, I desperately needed a peaceful quiet place to just reflect and relax.
An old friend of mine from high school who knew what was going on offered to take me fishing.
This actually seemed like such an amazing idea, and so off we went.
I got to just sit and take in the scene and reel in fish, contemplating all that had transpired.

Paddle Boarding

The kids and I had a blast learning to paddle board... and what better way to learn than to just rent one and go?! We got a punch card for 10 hours and fully enjoyed its use!

Relishing the summer just a bit longer...

Hiking Icicle Gorge

The kids and I went for a small hike on the Icicle Gorge Loop.  It's an amazing
day hike that takes you through a variety of natural habitats.

This was a great trip for us to get
out and get some fresh air.  I told Cohen that he needed to lead the way- trying to instill in him some
value of feeling like the "big"
boy and being able to take care of his family. He picked up this stick and was adamant that he was fully capable of protecting us =)

And Life Rolls On...

After a long hiatus from blogging, I am back... still wanting to keep record of the amazing lives of my children growing up.  To do this, however, I need to backtrack and explain that I went through a divorce, hence the hiatus.  Life has since picked back up and is no longer just crawling by in empty nothingness... but instead God has brought an amazing man into our lives that fills the role we have always hoped for, and surpasses anything I could have dreamt for us.
I also have the pleasure of having an adorable little girl be apart of our lives, as well.  Adalynn is pure happiness and we all love her immensely.  Life continues and, therefore, the family circus six (...er... seven) will, as well.

****after posting this in March of 2014, I am setting the date back to August, 2013 so that I can move forward with back-posting to catch up =) Love to everyone!
