Thanksgiving!

 This is our first year as a family to have Thanksgiving at home with the kids.  It also happened to fall on Regan's birthday so we decided to make it a big fun day.  Dad introduced us all to deep frying a turkey... a concept that slightly terrified me.  He thought I took the fun out of it a bit but I insisted on him wearing gloves and having some fire extinguishers available (hence his silly sad face) LOL!

 

 Cohen was super interested in the whole

 process so dad let him be the big helper. 

 Danissa got to help me in the kitchen this year.  She was a big help! 

We made large amounts of all the traditional dishes so we have enough left over to feed a small army!

Seattle

Dad and mom came to visit and took us out to several yummy places to eat. 

We got to go on a cruise, as well! We got to watch a street artist

do amazing spray painted art in minutes and we all got one.

Snakes Everywhere

The kids are constantly finding snakes and bringing them home.  Cohen has even

founded a snake hunters club! They meet randomly throughout the week and 

catch snakes almost everytime!

Shots = Anxiety

For Ethan, the idea of shots are worse than shots themselves.  He sweats about

it the whole way to the doctors office, in the waiting room and while waiting for the doctor.

This particular series of shots required three visits to get them done, and I finally

ended up just pinning him down to get it over with!

Garth Brooks

Regan surprised me and bough tickets to see Garth Brooks! One of my all-time dreams come true!

We drove down to Portland and had a great time. Garth covered all of his amazingly awesome best known songs, and gave a few new ones, as well.

Ady Snuggles!!!!

Bounce House

Every once in awhile it's a fun treat to break out the bounce house and let

the kids get their energy out.  They love this thing!

Chucky Cheese

We celebrated Ethans birthday early, and then Mike took him for a day of fun so we decided to "celebrate" his birthday a little bit by going to Chucky Cheese.  Lots of fun! Just wish Ethan-Man could have been there, too!

Dance Revolution

Dad and Ady like to play Dance Revolution. Ady loves to play the "Pumpkin Song"

and a "Mermaid and Scuba Diver" song. They are so sweet together.

Beary

Ady was adamant that Beary needed to be wearing a seatbelt, as well.

She was super excited to have beary close and snuggled in safe.

Student of the Month

All three elementary kiddos got student of the for the month of February.

Such a proud moment for us parents!!

Ice Cream and Dancing

We went out for Black Bear ice-cream.  A song was on that

Danissa loves and so Regan swept her up and started dancing with her.

Pressure Washin' Fun

Hot days- it's hard to find respite. Our neighbor, Dennis, was pressure washing his boat and decided to let the kiddos cool off.  He became the Pied Piper of the cul de sac. 

Ahhh sweet relief!

Valentines Day

Regan wanted to embarrass Danissa on Valentines Day by making her have her hands full all day, hauling this stash of goodies around from class to class. SO FUNNY and he was SO SUCCESSFUL!

Then he and I went out to Trappers for a Valentines Lunch =)

Sisters

 And once the littles go to sleep, suddenly the big girls want to play.

Danissa and Shannon are also inseparable.  Shannon is our honorary daughter that lives

just down the road.

7th Grade Choir

Danissa's first concert was so fun to watch.  The girls did such a great job.

Seeing Danissa up there... she looked so grown up... it brought tears to my eyes.

THE VAN

Our growing family needed a bigger van, and lucky for us, our friends happened to be

selling a van. We bought the SOB team van from the leaders of

our softball team and immediately took it in to get all of the decals and

such off of it... now we have our very own 15 seater!

Virtual Golf

Regan and I found this awesome place where you can play golf- indoors.  You use a real ball, a real club, and literally hit it like you would if you were golfing.  The ball hits the screen (I thought it would leave a hole!) and then the screen shows you the path the real ball would have taken, along with all of the stats.  It was REALLY fun!

Cello

Ethan wanted to be in orchestra this year, and cello was his primary choice.

Luckily, not many 5th grades choose the cello, so there were many available

for us to choose from and off he went into the cello program. He LOVES it and

has a definite ear for the music.  He has done so well and we are so proud of him!

Girls and Starbucks

Ady and I had a girls morning. Breakfast, drinks and giggles =)

Super Jump

The kids love Super Jump Party Zone in the mall.  It's just a giant

room full of inflatable castles. You pay per hour and let the kids go wild.

So much fun... especially on rainy days!
